Our Vision

Cape Cares is a nonprofit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization with no religious or political affiliation.  We have been delivering high quality medical and dental care to people living in rural Honduras through community-based clinics in two regions of Honduras for over 35 years.  Our services include team-centered medical and dental treatment, primary care for acute and chronic problems and health education.  With compassion, professionalism, and respect for the culture and society of the Honduran people, we work in collaboration with the local populations, local and regional community leaders and with local medical providers to improve the health and wellness of over 30 aldeas. Currently Cape Cares operates fall and spring clinics in two regions of the country with hopes to re expand to three clinics per year.

Meet the Team

We support those who are speaking out against the longstanding pattern of systemic racism that results in violent deaths and serious health disparities of Black, Brown, and other marginalized peoples.
We understand that systemic racism also affects the health of people and communities around the world including Black and Non-Black Honduran people in the communities that we work with in Honduras.

     We commit

  • to act intentionally to challenge racist structures and practices and to promote health equity.

  • to align with global best practices by following the ideals of collaborative community involvement in Honduras

  • to actively work to diversify our board and our volunteers

  • to continue antiracist education and practices within our organization
