We’re excited to share that three new team members have joined Cape Cares! Each brings valuable experience, fresh energy, and a deep commitment to our mission of delivering compassionate care to communities in Honduras. Please join us in welcoming them to the team.
Grant Writer – Beth Lamberson is a 32-year fundraiser, grant writer, and public radio professional who lives in Durango, Colo. She is tasked with grant writing for the clinic being built in El Rodeito and traveled with the Spring 2025 brigade to Los Encinitos. Beth has always wanted to participate in an international medical organization and plans to keep doing so with Cape Cares.

Accountant - Doug Hanson is a Certified Public Accountant and has served in various roles over his 25+ year career, serving as Vice President, Head of Financial Reporting and Chief Financial Officer over multiple industries. He has worked with companies from start-ups to large international publicly traded companies. Doug joined Cape Cares at the beginning of 2024 overseeing the financial side of the organization.

Administrative Director – Jacob Douglas is a product implementation manager working in healthcare software who lives in Austin, Texas. His favorite hobbies include trying new restaurants, playing sports, and traveling the world. Jacob has two silly rescue dogs Bella and Gussy. As the administrator of Cape cares, Jacob is tasked with organizational communication, managing high-level documentation, and coordinating travel logistics. Jacob has recently traveled with the 2025 San Marcos brigade and will be returning for future trips. With a passion for helping others, Cape Cares has been the perfect organization to join!
